Cy Young Award Goes to San Antonio Hurler Tuesday, October 29th, 2024 22-year-old Baltwin Baars of the San Antonio Storm Troopers put together a good year in 2024 for such a young player. Baars was named today as the winner of the Ford Frick League Cy Young Award. Baars crafted an impressive 20-9 record and a 3.32 ERA. In 227.2 innings he allowed 197 hits, struck out 167, and walked 88. Harsha Majoo of the Sandy Springs Spartans finished second in voting, while Finlay Coinneach of the Rock River Rats finished third. |
