Morales Spins Masterpiece, No-Hits Spokane Monday, September 16th, 2024 Iván Morales made quick work of Spokane at UFO Field earlier today. The 21-year-old hurler tossed a no-hitter for the Phoenix Lights in defeating the Bulldogs 3-0. "I really didn't have my best stuff today," he admitted after the game, "there's a lot of luck involved in throwing a no-hitter. Some days it's better to be lucky than good." In a superlative outing he registered 11 strikeouts and 4 walks. Luck or not, Morales will go down in history and will get his name written down in the league record book. Morales has made 16 starts, tossed 91 innings, struck out 79 batters and walked 53. His record is 7-3 with a 2.97 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .192 batting average. |
