West Goes on Rampage Against Hawks Monday, August 5th, 2024 "It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what New York third baseman Pete West said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 5-for-6 day against the Boise Hawks at Basque Block Field. "I got some good counts and used the whole field." The Ninjas had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 8-2. Pete West singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th. This season West is batting .299 with 6 home runs. |
