Red-Hot Rampage Reaps ACL Reward Monday, July 29th, 2024 20-year-old Víctor Hernando made a few Newark headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Alexander Cartwright League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 8 hits in 14 at-bats to put up a .571 average. Hernando collected 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and scored 7 runs. Thus far in 2024 Hernando is hitting .291 with 8 home runs, 34 RBIs, 24 runs scored and has compiled a .372 OBP. |
