Storm Troopers Chill Cooke's Hot Streak Wednesday, June 26th, 2024 Oliver Cooke of the Wichita Wolverines came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 4 at-bats. That put a quick end to his 20-game hitting streak. To make matters even worse, Wichita dropped the game to the San Antonio Storm Troopers 5-2. In a postgame comment Cooke told the press, "It was not a good day today. We lost the game and the streak is over." This year Cooke has collected a .307 batting average to date with 71 hits in 231 at-bats, 33 RBIs, 5 home runs and scored 19 times. He has played in 67 games. |
