Cong Smacks 5 Hits for Mustang Sunday, June 9th, 2024 Next time the Wolverines might think twice about pitching to Hua Cong. Today at Howling Park the Carson City shortstop really burned Wichita pitching, going 5-for-6 in the Mustang 20-5 triumph. "When he's seeing the ball well," his skipper told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded." Hua Cong hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 8th and hit a three-run double in the 9th. Currently Cong is hitting .296 and has collected 6 home runs, 37 RBIs and scored 30 times, while playing in 62 games. |
