Super Swinger -- Cortés Slams 5 Hits Friday, June 7th, 2024 Javier Cortés did more than his part as Carson City trimmed Wichita today at Howling Park. The Mustang third baseman pounded out 5 hits to pace his team to a 15-2 thumping of the Wolverines. Javier Cortés singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th, doubled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th. This year Cortés is batting .356 with 77 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 36 times and has batted in 34 runs. |
