For once, it was the Hellcats picking up Buddah Stalin.

Their offensive catalyst, as the Jacksonville manager calls him, saw his 31-game hitting streak snapped as Stalin was held hitless by the Temple Goers at Goers Field. The 29-year-old first baseman went 0-for-5. It should have made for a lousy day, but his teammates picked up the slack and whipped the Goers 15-3.

At the press conference after the game, Stalin told reporters, "Everybody did the job but me. No problem, we won the game."

Asked how he felt about the streak ending, he grinned and replied, "It was a good run. I'll try to start another one tomorrow."

Looking at his present stats, Stalin has compiled a .240 batting average in 6 games with a .387 on-base percentage, while hitting 1 home run and driving in 3 runs.
