Chávez Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle Saturday, May 4th, 2024 Wolverines shortstop Edgardo Chávez had one of the best days of his career today when he hit for the cycle and paved the way for the Wichita 11-3 win over the Ottawa Outlaws at Parliament Field. He shelled them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats, collected 5 RBI and scored 3 runs. Edgardo Chávez singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jorge Díaz in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. Thus far this year Chávez is batting .256 with 1 home run, 8 RBIs and 9 runs scored. |
