No Recovery For Mustang Davis, Setback Forces Him Out Sunday, October 15th, 2023 "Baseball was my dream. I just wish it could have lasted longer." Those were the sad words of Carson City starting pitcher Kirk Davis at his press conference announcing his retirement from baseball. Davis suffered a career-ending injury. He was forced to retire because of a fractured elbow. "Once this year goes by, it will be a lot easier to deal with. This is going to be a tough year, just sitting around and not being able to go out there and do what I love." All the news is not bad though. The 25-year-old Davis has accepted an administrative position with the Mustang. |
