League Punishes Pair for Fighting Sunday, September 17th, 2023 During a recent Newark-Jacksonville game at Cobras Ballpark, Sushil Ruma of the Jail Birds and Salah bin Atif of the Hellcats got into an altercation on the field and had to be separated from each other as the benches emptied. Both players knew they would have to face the music and today the league commissioner's office announced their punishments. They have been given 8-game suspensions because of their actions. Ruma is currently hitting at a .277 pace with 11 home runs, 56 RBIs and has scored 65 times. This year bin Atif has posted a 8-13 mark in 30 starts and has a 6.46 ERA. |
