5-Hit Blitz by Frisco's Luna Sunday, September 17th, 2023 It was a hits blitz for Guillermo Luna at Outlander Park. The Frisco Rams right fielder tore into West Coast for 5 hits in 6 at-bats to pace the Rams to a 15-3 victory and wrote his name into the baseball record book. The manager for the Defenders bemoaned his pitching, saying, "We fell behind and weren't locating well. Once you get behind in the count, you have to make real good pitches, rather than good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today." He added, "Not to take anything away from Luna, but bad location was the story of the ballgame. That's why we lost the game." Guillermo Luna struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Bruno McCormick in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Dennis Hensley in the 8th. In the current season, Luna has put up a .296 batting average with 125 hits, 25 home runs, 85 runs batted in and scored 106 runs. |
