FFL's Best Player, Sato of Rock River Monday, September 4th, 2023 26-year-old Yushiro Sato made a few Rock River headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Ford Frick League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 5 hits in 8 at-bats to put up a .625 average. Sato collected 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Presently Sato is batting .284 with 5 home runs and 25 RBIs. He has played in 62 games and scored 16 times. |
