Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Sunday, August 27th, 2023 Following a mass brawl, the league has suspended Jerry Waters of West Coast and José Ruíz of Buzzard's Bay. The players will have to sit out 7 games each after trouble flared up between the Defenders and the Beetlecats at a recent game at North Shore Park. This year Waters is batting .292 with 5 home runs and 74 RBIs. For the season Ruíz has made 50 relief appearances, recorded 5 saves and compiled a 3-2 won-lost mark and a 2.19 ERA. In pitching 37 innings, he has totaled 47 strikeouts and 25 walks. |
