West Coast 2B Román Will Miss 4-5 Months Friday, July 14th, 2023 The West Coast Defenders will have to make do without Santiago Román for 4-5 months. He suffered a broken kneecap while colliding with a player at a base in the game today against the Riverside Red Bulls. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the second baseman. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." In 88 games this season Román has batted at a .292 pace with 76 hits and 8 home runs. |
