Injury Takes Toll, Lúcio Martínez Out Friday, July 7th, 2023 Baseball can be a contact sport at times. It can exact a harsh toll on a player's body. In a recent game against Ottawa Outlaws, Defenders center fielder Lúcio Martínez was injured colliding with a player at a base and is expected to miss 4 months with torn ankle ligaments. The team did not announce any roster moves today related to this injury. The West Coast skipper told BNN that personnel decisions would be announced as early as tomorrow. So far this year Martínez has 3 home runs and a .243 batting average. |
