Kanno of Frisco Crowned Best Player Monday, June 19th, 2023 Frisco fans have something to crow about today as Frisco right fielder Motoki Kanno nabbed the Alexander Cartwright League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Kanno. He posted a .484 average (15-31) this past week with 4 home runs, 10 RBIs, and 6 runs scored. Currently Kanno has 11 home runs and a .321 batting average. |
