Yunus Goes 5-6 Against Madison Friday, May 26th, 2023 If just anyone could go out and hit a baseball, big dollar contracts wouldn't exist. But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Abdul-Muttalib Yunus showed how it's done as he went 5 for 6 against the Madison Beehive and helped the Spokane Bulldogs beat them 7-6. The manager for the Beehive told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames." If Yunus keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. Abdul-Muttalib Yunus grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Bei Law in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, singled in the 7th, doubled in the 9th and singled in the 11th. To date Yunus has chalked up a .349 average with 3 home runs, driven in 25 runs and scored 26 times. |
