Lópes Torches Goers for 5 Hits Wednesday, May 24th, 2023 It was a sensational day at the plate for Jesús Lópes as he led the charge to a 21-0 win over the Goers. The Silicon Valley center fielder was pure misery for the Temple pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Goers told BNN reporters after the game, "Lópes put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Jesús Lópes singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, hit a three-run double in the 4th, singled in the 6th and walked in the 8th. So far this season Lópes has hit .385 with no home runs, 9 RBIs and and scored 8 times. |
