ACL Honors Asheville Third Baseman Monday, May 15th, 2023 25-year-old Yodo Chikuda made a few Asheville headlines during this past week as the rookie third baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Alexander Cartwright League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 21 at-bats to put up a .571 average. Chikuda collected 2 home runs, 12 RBIs and scored 5 runs. This year Chikuda is hitting .349 with 10 home runs and 33 RBIs in 37 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .488 with 29 walks and 29 runs scored. |
