West Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Friday, September 30th, 2022 New York third baseman Pete West put on quite a show at The Kennel with a big 5-hit day in the 23-9 victory over the Spokane Bulldogs. In the postgame interview, he said with a smile, "Not a bad day at the plate, 5 for 7.. Wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average ... and my salary, too." Pete West singled in the 1st, hit a three-run double in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This season West is batting .282 with 136 hits and 6 home runs. He has scored 62 times and has 64 runs batted in. |
