Pittman Hitless, Stopped by Tourists Wednesday, September 21st, 2022 For 29 games in a row Pat Pittman of the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats had at least one hit in every game. His day of reckoning finally came at the hands of the Asheville Tourists, who held him without a hit in 4 at-bats. To make matters worse, they also won the ballgame 3-2. This season Pittman is swinging the bat at a .321 rate with 189 hits in 589 at-bats. To date he has hit 14 home runs, scored 122 runs and driven in 95. |
