August's Top Starter is Moreno Thursday, September 1st, 2022 Over the past month Jesús Moreno has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the Alexander Cartwright League. He proved all that and now he's been named August's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats posted 5-0 mark and a 1.05 ERA. In 6 starts he tossed 42.2 innings, permitted 34 hits and fanned 38 batters. For the season Moreno has compiled a 10-5 record with a 4.12 ERA. |
