Sugiyama Slaps 5 Hits Friday, August 26th, 2022 It was a big day for Horiuchi Sugiyama of the Spokane Bulldogs. He led his club to a 10-9 victory over the Carson City Mustang today at The Kennel. The 23-year-old second baseman smoked Mustang pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. Horiuchi Sugiyama hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This season Sugiyama has delivered 88 hits in 330 at-bats for a .267 average with 5 home runs. He is getting on base at a .346 clip and his totals also include 40 RBIs and 49 runs scored. This year Sugiyama has played in 89 games. |
