Bird-in-Hand's Nakayama Down with Injury Wednesday, August 24th, 2022 Whether he wants it or not, Yasutake Nakayama of the Bird-in-Hand Hunters will be getting some R & R -- rest and relaxation. The starting pitcher was hurt in today's Hunters-Hackers game while throwing a pitch. Team officials announced after the game that Nakayama had suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be out of action for 13-14 months. In 27 starts this season Nakayama has rung up a 6-10 record and a 5.83 ERA. |
