Ottawa's Rivera Out 5 Months Wednesday, August 24th, 2022 Watching Rubén Rivera getting helped off the field today at Outlander Park, fans of the Ottawa Outlaws feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the shortstop will miss 5 months with a concussion. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Rivera suffered the injury making a defensive play in the game against the Rams. So far this year in 27 games Rivera is hitting .250 with no home runs, 9 RBIs and 14 runs scored. |
