Ruíz Week's Top Player Monday, July 11th, 2022 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Alexander Cartwright League, but last week Orlando Ruíz of the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Ruíz rocked opposing pitching for a .556 average (10-18), 3 home runs and 11 RBIs to come away with the award. Looking at his season stats, Ruíz has compiled a .330 batting average and a .427 on-base percentage, while hitting 12 home runs and driving in 55 runs. |
