Armstrong Socks it to Hackers, Cracks 5 Hits Sunday, July 10th, 2022 Riverside center fielder Peter Armstrong could do no wrong in today's 8-5 win over the Hackers as he collected 5 hits. "In every one of his at-bats things were in his favor... he got hitter's counts," the skipper of the Hackers said to the press corps after the game. Armstrong agreed. "The key is getting ahead. Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit. You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready." Peter Armstrong doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 7th and singled in the 9th. For the season Armstrong has produced 41 hits in 119 at-bats for a .345 average with 1 home run and gotten on base at a .409 clip. |
