5-Hit Game for Wang Thursday, June 23rd, 2022 It was high-5 day at North Shore Park, at least for Xiao-wei Wang of the West Coast Defenders. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats. Wang smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his record-setting day, leading his club to a 14-6 win. His manager said, "Xiao-wei was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him." In the other dugout the opposing manager told BNN beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine." Xiao-wei Wang doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Thus far this year Wang has hit .349 with 1 home run and 11 RBIs. |
