Asheville's Castillo Winner, ACL Best Hitter in May Wednesday, June 1st, 2022 Nesto Castillo has a lot going for him. The Asheville catcher just broke into the majors this year and now the Alexander Cartwright League has just picked him as its top hitter for May. In 24 games last month, this outstanding rookie batted .375 with 8 home runs, 22 RBIs and 28 runs scored. Castillo has a .360 average and a .500 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 63 hits, 15 home runs and driven in 51 runs. |
