Horne Touches All Bases, Hits for Cycle
Tuesday, May 24th, 2022
"It's too bad I can't do that every day," Jeff Horne said with a smile to reporters after today's game. "It would do wonders for my batting average." Horne had every right to be in a good mood after hitting for the cycle today against Cincinnati at The Studio. The Storm Troopers won the ballgame 8-1, he hit for the cycle, had a 4-for-5 game and boosted his batting average up a few points. The 26-year-old San Antonio left fielder chalked up 3 runs batted in and 3 runs scored for the game, too.

Who says you can't have it all?

He told the press that a triple is the tough hit to get in a cycle. "As soon as it left the bat, guys jumped off the bench and were rooting hard for me to have enough gas to get there," Horne said. "It was hard to enjoy it. I was breathing too hard ... you got to really be in shape to run out a triple."

Jeff Horne struck out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Pedro Gravina in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, tripled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.

In 37 games Horne is hitting .280 this season with 35 hits, 5 home runs, 20 RBIs, 15 walks, .366 OBP and has scored 24 runs.
