Orton Week's #1 Player Monday, May 2nd, 2022 26-year-old Don Orton made a few Sandy Springs headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Ford Frick League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 13 hits in 26 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Orton collected 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 9 runs. Hitting .404 to date, Orton has 4 home runs and 26 RBIs. He has played in 24 games. |
