Hitting Streak Still Alive for Salgado Wednesday, August 18th, 2021 Carson City's Juan Salgado was 1-5 in the Mustang 8-3 victory over the Spokane Bulldogs. That stretched his hitting streak to 20 games. In the clubhouse after the win, the 19-year-old Salgado told reporters, "I'm in a groove right now, and I am trying to stay there by doing the same things over and over again. If I change something, it might bring me bad luck." Juan Salgado struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. So far in 2021 Salgado is batting .368 with 9 home runs, 78 RBIs and 53 runs scored. He has 117 hits in 318 at-bats and a .426 OBP. |
