Injury Takes Toll, Sean Bergeron Out Friday, July 23rd, 2021 "It was a freak thing," said a dejected Sean Bergeron after injuring himself in a game against Ottawa. The Newark manager told reporters that he's expected to miss up to 6 months with a fractured elbow. The Jail Birds are expected to announce a roster move in the next day or two. Taking a look at his season stats for 2021, Bergeron has made 34 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 4-1 won-lost mark with a 4.14 ERA. In pitching 63 innings, he has totaled 67 strikeouts and 30 walks. |
