Hitting Streak Still Alive for Vedant Sunday, July 11th, 2021 The Red Bulls won the game today, but you would have been hard pressed to find anyone talking about it. The focus seemed to be on left fielder Vihaan Vedant extending his hitting streak to 30 games by going 1-for-5 in the game. "Sure we are happy that we won, but seeing Vihaan extend his streak was also special," said a jubilant Riverside manager. "He's a special player who is capable of doing some amazing things at the plate." For the record, the Red Bulls defeated the Asheville Tourists 6-5 at Red Bull Stadium. Vihaan Vedant grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. Vedant is currently batting .341 with 14 home runs and 90 RBIs. |
