5-Hit Game for Vedant Saturday, June 19th, 2021 On top of the Riverside hit parade today was Vihaan Vedant. He went to the plate 5 times and marched away with 5 hits, sparking the Red Bulls to a 16-3 victory over the West Coast Defenders. The sweet swinging left fielder told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." The skipper of the Defenders wailed to the press, "Too much plate. Not the way we planned it. Any hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Vihaan Vedant doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Dennis Hensley in the 9th. This year Vedant is hitting .336 with 10 home runs and 58 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .395 clip and scored 59 runs. |
