ACL Star of the Week Chosen Monday, May 10th, 2021 26-year-old Jim Winter made a few Frisco headlines during this past week as the rookie shortstop proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Alexander Cartwright League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .440 average. Winter collected 5 home runs, 14 RBIs and scored 8 runs. Winter is hitting .405 this year with 6 home runs, 19 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has 15 hits in 37 at-bats, 7 walks and a .500 on-base percentage. Winter has played in 18 games. |
