Irate Waller Suspended 2 Games Sunday, April 18th, 2021 The league has issued a 2-game suspension to Hackers shortstop Martin Waller for his bad conduct yesterday at the Silicon Valley-Temple game at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Waller was tossed out of the game for heatedly questioning a third-strike call. Once the home plate umpire ejected him, Waller ran over to argue more, even though the umpire warned him specifically, "Don't you come over here." Waller then retreated to the dugout, where he threw several bats onto the field and followed with a toss of an athletic trainer's bag. Later, Waller ran out of the clubhouse tunnel to continue arguing -- a big no-no for a player who has already been thrown out. Thus far this year Waller is hitting .259 with 1 home run, 7 RBIs and 9 runs scored. |
