Tanaka Belts 5 Hits
Saturday, September 13th, 2025
Players get multihit games all the time. But a 5-hit game comes around only once in a blue moon. It happened at House of Pain when Tsunayoshi Tanaka of Bronx scattered 5 hits all over the ballpark against the Reno Raiders. He walloped 5 hits in 7 at-bats in his career-day performance to help the Bombers get by the Raiders 9-7. In a talkative and jovial mood after the game, the shortstop of the Bombers said, "Whoa, my swing was really, really there today. I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens... good things happen... like 5-for-7. I could get used to a lot of days like this one." Tsunayoshi Tanaka tripled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, grounded out in the 10th and hit an RBI single in the 11th.
This season Tanaka has 4 home runs and a .328 batting average.
