Astoria-Detroit Fight Results in Suspensions Thursday, September 11th, 2025 One player challenged the other with some angry words at the Argonauts-Death Stars game at Golden Fleece Park yesterday. There was some pushing and shoving -- then the dugouts emptied. There was a lot of scuffling, but no punches thrown. When order was finally restored and the dust settled, the umpires ejected Astoria's Tim Wells and Detroit's Joe Kenner. Now both antagonists will get some time off, courtesy of the league commissioner. They were suspended 4 games for inappropriate and aggressive behavior. This year Wells has hit at a .284 clip with 60 RBIs, 13 home runs and 57 runs scored. So far this year Kenner has compiled a 11-6 record with a 4.01 ERA. |
