Acapulco's Walker Down with Injury Wednesday, September 10th, 2025 Jason Walker at first refused to leave today's South Bay-Acapulco game after he suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Acapulco starting pitcher said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Walker out of action for 10 months. This year Walker has worked 61.1 innings with 56 strikeouts en route to a 1-4 record and 7.78 ERA. |
