League Suspends Ishii and Pérez for Fisticuffs Wednesday, August 20th, 2025 Nobody was hurt in a confrontation yesterday between the Freedom Akio Ishii and the Freeze Ronaldo Pérez as both benches cleared during the fracas at The Bell. It appeared that there were a few punches thrown before the players could be separated. Today the league commissioner took action. The league decided to punish the guilty parties. Akio Ishii and Ronaldo Pérez will each have to sit out 2-game suspensions for their roles in this fight. This year Ishii is hitting .330 with 121 hits, 10 home runs, 47 RBIs and has scored 54 runs. So far this year Pérez has delivered no saves. In 18 relief appearances he has 33 strikeouts in 31 innings with a 3.19 ERA and 2 wins and 1 loss. |
