Green Belts Bunch of Base Hits Sunday, June 29th, 2025 Floyd Green exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The Fairfield center fielder had a field day in the 10-3 triumph over the Reno Raiders, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Well, Green must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too. It was one of his best days ever with the bat. Floyd Green singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Raúl Vélez in the 5th and singled in the 7th. Green is hitting .392 this season with 11 home runs, 44 RBIs and 47 runs scored. He has 69 hits in 176 at-bats. |
