Hayes Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Sunday, June 15th, 2025 Tony Hayes told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard." Well, that's just what Hayes of the Acapulco Banditos did against the El Paso Diablos. He went to the plate 5 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, much to the chagrin of the Diablos, who suffered a 14-5 defeat. "Not much that I can say," offered the losing manager, "he just hammered the heck out of us." Tony Hayes hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and singled in the 7th. Hayes is hitting .336 in 2025 with 18 RBIs and 2 home runs. |
