Ernesto Villegas Out of Action Tuesday, May 20th, 2025 The Fort Worth Cats will have to make do without Ernesto Villegas for 4 months. He suffered shoulder inflammation while throwing a pitch in the game today against the Bronx Bombers. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the starting pitcher. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." In 9 starts this season Villegas has gathered 5 wins while suffering no losses. He has pitched 52.1 innings, allowed 40 hits, struck out 50 and has a 2.58 ERA. |
