Zhou Sidelined for 4-5 Months Sunday, May 18th, 2025 Wing-chiu Zhou at first refused to leave today's Joplin-Albuquerque game after he suffered a bone spur in his elbow while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Albuquerque starting pitcher said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Zhou out of action for 4-5 months. Up to now Zhou has recorded a record of 1-4. In 8 starts he has fanned 34 batters in 40.1 innings with a 4.69 ERA. |
