Raman Hitless, Streak Ends at 31 Tuesday, May 6th, 2025 The Bronx Bombers won the game 3-1 over the Joplin Fireballs. At the same time the Fireballs mound corps did what no other team could do. They stopped the 31-game hitting streak of Bombers right fielder Adhivahana Raman. But that was still not enough to win the game. "Our pitchers might have focused a bit too much on stopping Raman," the Joplin manager commented afterward. "He had a nice hitting streak going, but the Bombers have other hitters, and they did their job today." Thus far this year Raman has hit .450 with no home runs and 12 RBIs. |
