Kessler Goes on Rampage Against Diablos
Friday, April 25th, 2025
It was a good day all around. Chicago whipped El Paso 18-1 and Ed Kessler displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day at The War Dome. "Some days, lady luck is on your side," he modestly told BNN reporters after the game. His manager told the beat writers otherwise, "His hitting wasn't luck today. It's his solid approach to hitting. Ed is focused, patient and he hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have." The 29-year-old first baseman for the Titans collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats to get his name in the record book. Ed Kessler singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Shane Westmacott in the 8th.
This year Kessler has collected a .400 batting average to date with 18 hits in 45 at-bats, 14 RBIs, 5 home runs and scored 12 times. He has played in 13 games.
