Monday, April 14th, 2025
The red-hot hitting Frank Lewis is riding high with a 25-consecutive-game hitting streak and is drawing a lot of attention at the ballpark and in the press. The 27-year-old Fairfield second baseman continued the streak today at Durham Bulls Athletic Park with 2 hits in 3 at-bats as the Flash got the best of the Mdewanketon Sabercats 7-6.
"It's great," one of his teammates said. "To be able to hit behind him and watch him, it's been fun. It's been fun and exciting to watch. Not only fans in Fairfield, but baseball fans everywhere appreciate what is going on right now, and it has everyone on the edge of their seats wondering what he is going to do." Frank Lewis hit a solo-shot off Richard Howard in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th and walked in the 6th.
Lewis is batting at a .440 pace this season, picking up 11 hits in 25 at-bats with 1 home run, 7 RBIs and 6 runs scored.
