Horseman Officially Fire Herbert as Skipper Sunday, November 17th, 2024 Amarillo is now without a skipper after the announcement of manager Mark Herbert's firing earlier today. Sources close to the Horseman are saying that Herbert had lost the confidence of the players while apathy and selfishness had taken over the clubhouse. The Amarillo front office was unavailable for comment on the matter other than to confirm the manager's firing. A BNN poll done immediately after the announcement went public showed fan reaction seems mixed. "Glad that bum is gone," said one disgruntled fan. Several others clearly regretted the decision, telling reporters, "Herbert did the best he could with the talent and money he had." No timetable has been set by the team for announcing a replacement. |
